Balicana is a quaint little Asian restaurant located in Los Corales, Punta Cana. Just 3 mins walk from the beach the restaurant is next to a pool (la piscina de los corales) and sits amongst lush vegetation in a pretty, Mediterranean style residential area. The owners Sinuhe and his wife Patricia are from Colombia.

They have many years experience in the restaurant business, Patricia in management and Sinuhe as a chef. They launched the Hard Rock Cafe in Bogota, Colombia and here in the Dominican Republic's capital Santo Domingo before moving to Punta Cana to set up the Hard Rock Cafe in the Palma Real Shopping Mall. Several years ago they branched out on their own and opened Balicana. Sinuhe is passionate about food and you can tell by the wonderful, subtle, aromatic flavours he creates in each dish he prepares.
